GAZON - Gent — Restaurant in Ghent

This is one of those little green gems to go to in the summer; one of the handful of summer bars that exist in Ghent. It's a beautiful place with many different parts, so you can choose what type of seating or surrounding you prefer.

We came here just after 2pm (after opening hours) mistakenly believing the kitchen would be open. We could order some snacks, so we had nachos, pancakes and quesadilla. The former 2 were very nice, the quesadilla I would skip next time. But I hope to come back to taste the real food they're good for: the bbq and pizzas!

Great place to meet up with friends. Only a bit noisy due to passing trains. The menu is sometimes confused in orders. But this is understandable, so many people that you can go crazy. I think that the staff by the end of the working day, falls down from fatigue. The idea of ​​being outdoors with friends is just wonderful. Anything is better than sitting in a stuffy hot room, even if suddenly there is an air conditioner. Although air conditioners in Belgium are almost impossible to find in restaurants. Awesome! Definitely recommend this place. Very friendly staff, very fast service.

Cosy environment, plenty of place to sit. You can also choose depending on what you prefer between high tables, low crate tables and beach chairs with a small table.

Great cocktails and really really good snacks for a fair price. They also have cheaper options for groups where they offer bigger quantities at once to share.

Great to simply sit and have a chat, there's also a playground for kids and plenty of space for them to run around and have fun without disturbing anyone.
