Talloor d'Or — Restaurant in Ghent

The food was extremely well presented, and I see why people refer to this as a future Michelin star place; for the purpose of the allure and style. It's clear the chef tries to stand out from every day cuisine; unfortunately unique often isn't better, and this translates into beautiful, but ultimately not so tasty food, for me. The different dishes were a mixed bag of good and not so tasty food, although the flair and beauty of the presentation were always top notch. Ultimately, I care about taste more than visuals or distinctive VIP treatment; therefore this probably isn't my type of restaurant; but in the end, taste wise it's a risky...

Great experience! This is a very good restaurant. The service is spot on, everything is done correctly and they are very friendly. The food is amazing. I enjoyed every dish. The restaurant is nicely decorated and feels cosy, even though there is a lot of space between the tables. We were lucky enough to sit near the kitchen, which gave us a cool view over the chefs preparing...

Ons eerste bezoek aan Talloor d’or en we zijn omver geblazen. Eerst en vooral een prachtige setting om een avond culinair te genieten. Perfecte en aangename bediening van Nikki en haar collega’s. De verfijning van details maakt alles zeer gracieus. De tijd tussen de gangen zijn ideaal. We namen geen alcoholische dranken bij het eten. Hiervoor had Nikki aangepaste non alcoholische dranken, en alles viel mooi samen qua smaak. Stuk voor stuk was het lekker van smaak! Het eten: we namen de menu chefs choice (5 gangen). Waauw, de combinatie van smaken de verfijning in het bord.. magnifiek! Ik heb al vaak lekker gegeten, maar Talloor d’or steekt er echt met kop en schouder bovenuit! De gebruikte producten zijn echt goed van kwaliteit en dat proef je in het bord. Mathias en zijn team doen het uitstekend in de keuken!
