Bitter sweet experience. Let's start with the good things, there were a lot. Cosy restaurant, suggestions are available and 3 menus are also available to make things a bit simpler. Owner (and chef) is friendly and very good. Booking is better as it was busy on a Sunday evening. We had a booking at 19 but we were allowed to go before. Food was delicious, we were an 8 people group so we tried quite some things. The baked feta and garlic bread were delicious and the bread served at the start was also amazing with some sauces. I order a chicken stew and also tried the Musaka. Both were very good. The stew was a bit salty for my taste but nothing bad, and also a bit spicy. The bakes potatoes were delicious and the chicken was tender. The only thing that was a bit strange was the feta salad which was more like a feta spreado to put on bread -I did not taste it, that is what my friends said- as they were expecting a salad, based on the name. Also, price wise, people complained about the high prices, while for me was the other way around. The price was good, not cheap, but also not expensive, and for the quality of the food, I think very fair. The bill came at around 40 euros per person (voorgerecht and hoofdgerecht) on average and some aperitif and wine was ordered.
Now, the not so good things, I believe the waiter was very new (very very new) and he did not know any of the dishes. We asked quite some questions as we also did not know them and it resulted in quite of a comic-strange situation. Same result with the drinks. The owner came later to take the order and everything was perfectly ordered. Therefore I would say, that is definitely the point to improve as when the waiter brought the dishes he also did not know what was what. The waiting time was also a bit longer than I would have expected. We arrived at 6.30 and we left at 10. To be fair, it is said in their web that it can take a while to get served, he is alone in the kitchen and everything seemed freshly done, but from the order to the starters it took about 45 minutes and after that for the main dishes about 1.5 hours more. So it was a bit on the long side. This is not a complain per se, to me, it worth the wait! But if you are planning to come, just be aware that you will be there for a while. Overall, a great experience and a highly recommended place, I think is the first time I tried greek restaurant and cannot say if it was authentic or not, but I can say it was delicious and would happily go back if I am...
