Jardin Albert (JA) offers a drink & snack area as well as restaurant seating. Bar review: Great selection of cocktails (though a tad bit heavy on the ice) and craft beers. Restaurant review: 2 person, 3 course meal + drinks = €150. What you see is what you get. Everything is well taken care of. Setting and consumables are designed with great care and served with a smile. Dishes are asian inspired and meant to be shared. JA markets itself as a "street food bar" although I would bargain to classify it as a more glamorous/fancy/refined kitchen which is comparable to a world class 5-star hotel restaurant. That's the price one should expect to pay here too (minus the percentage of convenience & captive audience). For that reason I would not recommend dining here with kids who are too young to appreciate the gastronomic experience. JA is easily reachable by car (road) or bike (road or shipping canal). Separate parking lots are available. Depending on your mode of transportation parking lots may get crammed when busy. Conclusion: Great gourmet stop! If you cannot commit to the full restaurant experience then at least try a drink and a snack. You will not be disappointed.

Nice location. Food very average... edamame came overcooked, they removed it from the bill. Asparagus were actually also overcooked. Sticky rice undercooked. The ribs were nice. But lots of work to make the food up to a decent standard. Cocktails were okayish. I think better to stick to the bar and have dinner elsewhere unless you are at the location having drinks already.

Ik ben al jaren fan van het sharing concept, maar dit jaar doen ze dat niet meer en is het een bistro. De gerechtjes zijn zeker lekker, maar klein voor de soms hoge prijs. Zeker de suggestie Lobster roll is met 36 euro duur, en je krijgt heel weinig gerecht hiervoor. Kreeft kan duur zijn, maar dit zit scheef. Ook de rib eye is een zeer beperkt gerecht voor 40 euro te moeten betalen. De sfeer is nog altijd top en de service ook. Maar het sharing concept maakte dit voor mij juist uniek en een reden om meermaals naar Herentals af te zakken in de zomer. Maar nu niet echt speciaal meer jammer genoeg.

Nice location. Food very average... edamame came overcooked, they removed it from the bill. Asparagus were actually also overcooked. Sticky rice undercooked. The ribs were nice. But lots of work to make the food up to a decent standard. Cocktails were okayish. I think better to stick to the bar and have dinner elsewhere unless you are at the location having drinks already.

Ik ben al jaren fan van het sharing concept, maar dit jaar doen ze dat niet meer en is het een bistro. De gerechtjes zijn zeker lekker, maar klein voor de soms hoge prijs. Leuk om te zitten. Helaas staat de muziek erg luid dus een gezellig babbel met een groepje van 4 zit er niet in tenzij je roept. Over de jaren heen is het erg duur geworden. 13 euro voor een cocktail waar dan nog niet al te veel alcohol in zit. Mocktails die naar niet veel smaken voor 9 euro. Enkele jaren geleden was dit veel beter. Ook de hapjes zijn aan de prijzige kant, pizza prosciutto voor 16 euro waar men in andere zomerbars in de buurt slechts 9 euro voor betaalt. Eten is dan nog zelf af te halen, voor deze prijs zouden die toch wel aan tafel mogen gebracht worden. Conclusie: een van onze vaste stekjes enkele jaren geleden maar helaas veel van zijn pluimen verloren. Duur...
