In de Gouden Jaren Belvedere Kemmelberg — Restaurant in Heuvelland

Came here for a quick bite after a lovely walk around the Kemmelberg. Sat down and ate a large thin pancake (or crepe/crumpet) with ice cream and it was absolutely delicious, the ice cream was worth the extra money to add on and was so tasty, one of the best I have had and would definitely have again. The pancake itself was also lovely and flavourful. Overall really enjoyable and tasty!

Having looked at their menu the only reason I give 4 stars rather than 5 was due to a lack of vegetarian options or labels and had I wanted a proper meal I may not have been able to eat...

You experience 'tree'mendous views on your way up there. The straight from her soul smile of the lady of the house welcomes you 'full house'. Once seated the views of nature and the overall atmosphere is refreshingly stylish. Their aperitif of the house is delicious and comes with a variety of four fingerfood. All they offer is the finest of French and Flemish cuisine. My favorite however is the 'eel nature' for only 23 euros. It is amazing how i each time manage to cope with that much...

Un moment rare et de qualité. Le cadre et la décoration est atypique, originale et agréable. La vue est merveilleuse, situé au mont Kemmel, en pleine nature. Une qualité de viande et de cuisson rarement rencontrée. Une côte à l'os angus de 700gr bleue chaud à la cuisson parfaite., vu la taille c'est rare. le goût et la tendresse de la viande sont rares aussi. Le service parfait, attentionné en restant simple. Si comme moi vous calez sur le morceau de viande, demandez un doggy bag, c'est fait avec le sourire. Alors oui, ce qui et rare est cher ou a tout au moins un prix. Justifié dans le cas présent. Et pour ceux qui n'aiment pas la viande, les scampis sont aussi excellents. On reviendra. Pas tout de suite mais certainement.

Un conseil, après le repas montez en haut du belvédère, ça fait digérer et la vue sur les plaines de Flandres est extraordinaire. On voit de Ypres à Lille en passant par Courtrai. bref un moment rare...
