Le Chalet du Pont de Belleheid — Restaurant in Jalhay

We were hungry after 5 hours of hiking and this cottage was the first option where to go. We respected the sign saying to wait on the staff. We waited there almost 15 minutes when suddenly the waitress came just to ask if we have a reservation and rejected us. The cottage was almost empty. This was very disappointed experience for me. No solutions, no pro-customer oriented at all. Thus I didn't get a chance to try and evaluate their food, only bad service and communication with potential customer. Now my recommendation for all my friends and acquaintances is go for hike there, but avoid Le Chalet du Pont...

Me personally I loved it! After a decent long path the kids got hungry quick and this was perfect, we did notice we were lucky with getting in! (8 people and 1 dog) I recommend coming in the weekends and at 13:00 it wasn't empty but there were tables They let us in and reservation was not needed. Food was great!! But again you have to be lucky really to get a table. Also the area is perfect! The kids went to the river to make a stick bridge while waiting for the food! Overall a good...

Very great location, besides the Hoënge creek and in the midst of nature. In spring/summer you can enjoy a lunch/dinner in the open porch or on the terras besides the Hoënge. Ideal as a very pleasant last leg of a (half) day hike or bike through the adjacent forest. Very friendly service.
