Everything was fully booked on Saturday evening so we decided to try this restaurant since is not far from where we live. Very nice and cozy place, hidden in a kind of forest but only 50 meters from the main road, nice atmosphere inside. We received a warm welcome, they pleased us with two small portions of muscles with paprika and a roll of ham with I think was maple sirup, they brought our drinks and we ordered the main course. We asked some info on the menu choices and the waitress could not explain us on the spot, she went back to the kitchen for asking and after she came back to us. We received the food after 1 hour and 30 min.. One of the course was not actually exactly what we asked for, never mind.. I asked for the olive oil for my tartare, but unfortunately I did not taste it before using it on the meat.. It was horrible, incredibly bitter, we called the owner and she apologized to us and she brought another bottle of oil, I told her that I used the oil on my tartare but she didn't offer me to change it with a fresh one, I ate it anyway. Conclusion, with a little bit more effort and more attention to the details (tasting things before bringing to the customers, a more skilled waitress, delivering quicker the food) it can become an interesting place, at the moment it's a medium level restaurant,...

Read moreIsabelle and Alain (with their little son Emile) are simply wonderful hosts. Their B&B boasts three modern rooms with internet, mini bar, individual bathrooms-- Isabelle went to cooking school and even has a brasserie that she opens on Thursday nights. Isabelle doesn't speak English, and Alain speaks some-- but the couple are simply delightful. We sat around the table over wine and had lively discussions until well past our bedtime. I would stay here over any spot in downtown Mons. Parking is plentiful and you just have to keep a sharp eye out for the #48 mailbox because there is no sign to mark the driveway. If I go back to Mons for work, I will most certainly be...
