Amitié — Restaurant in Kinrooi

Yesterday, we visited Amitie for lunch for the third time, and once again, it was absolutely fantastic. Rachel is a wonderful host who knows her craft exceptionally well. We love ordering the wine pairing with our meal, and each time, she selects an outstanding selection of wines for us to enjoy. Through these pairings, we've discovered the beauty of Belgian wines and even experienced wines from Macedonia.

Yves is an incredibly talented chef—modest, warm, and absolutely brilliant at what he does. Each course is a work of art, a delight to behold, and a pleasure to savor slowly.

Amitie has truly become “our” restaurant! It’s tastefully decorated, full of heart, and feels like a cozy oasis. There’s no fuss, no pretense—just honest, creative, and exceptional cuisine brought to life by a lovely couple.

Yesterday, we brought two friends along, one a vegetarian and one a pescatarian. Yves created a unique menu for each of them, and Rachel went above and beyond, translating the menus into German and English for us. This level of care and attention to detail is so appreciated and far from standard.

We’ll happily continue making the journey from Düsseldorf to Kinrooi just to visit Amitie. It’s our little escape from the everyday—a chance to immerse ourselves in the enchanting...

I recently stayed at Amitie Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast served in the morning was delicious and had a wide variety of options to choose from. The B&B itself had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the owners was very friendly and helpful.

One of the highlights of my stay was the shower in my room. It was large and had great water pressure, making for a truly enjoyable shower experience. The room itself was also quite spacious and had a unique vibe that made it feel like home.

Overall, I highly recommend Amitie Bed and Breakfast for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The breakfast and shower alone make it worth a visit, but the overall atmosphere and helpful owner are just icing...

Even samen een minivakantie om de drukte van alle dag te vergeten en tot rust te komen in Belgisch Limburg. En dat is gelukt.... op de website zag alles er veel belovend uit, zowel de B&B als het restaurant. We werden ontvangen door Yves en omdat wij die avond de enige in de B&B waren kregen wij een upgrade van kamer, super leuk. De kamer is zeer smaakvol ingericht, straalt rust uit, heerlijk bed en mooie strakke badkamer. Een oase om even bij te tanken.

Wij hadden het arrangement met diner, eerst 4 gangen maar zijn toch all-in gegaan. Eerst een heerlijke cocktail in de tuin gedronken en hier maakten wij kennis met Rachel, Yves serveerde ons verschillende spannende amuses bij het aperitief.

Het diner kregen wij geserveerd in de omgebouwde koeienstal die zeer smaakvol is ingericht en waar je je meteen thuis voelt. Het feestje was begonnen, de ene smaakbom na de andere, alles even mooi gepresenteerd en met liefde geserveerd. Rachel hebben wij het wijnarrangement toevertrouwd, en bij elke gerecht kregen wij een heerlijke mooie passende wijn. Alles klopte van A tot Z. Wij hebben genoten van de setting, van het voortreffelijke eten (inclusief ontbijt), de gezelligheid van Rachel, Yves en Cédric (hun zoon, die opleiding kok doet en zijn ouders helpt, de Cébayon was een succes ;)).

Het was boven verwachting!
