One of those rare restaurants where they take you on a splendid taste adventure. Service is very knowledgeable on the dishes served and the wines associated with each dish. Time went by unnoticeably because we enjoyed ourselves...

Pre Valentijnsdiner (13de feb) Tafels staan ruim uit elkaar (decor oogt sober) en dus mogen er nog meer planten aanwezig zijn. Mocktail lekker verfrissend. Wijn lekker en bijpassend bij de gerechten. Gerechten met vis waren top. Kalfszwezerik was minder weinig smaak beetje droog. Steak was taai geworden, uitleg van de ober te lang onder de lamp gelegen. (Ober zei dat de keuken onderbemand was door ziek vallen van sous chef) desondanks waren we de 1 ste tafel van de avond met hoofdgerecht. (Max15 mensen in het restaurant) Geen verdere compensatie gekregen. Miste toch hier en daar een zuurtje/zoute toets. Dessert hapjes waren ook minder (1tje met appelsiengelei had weinig smaak...

Top kwaliteit in een zeer aangenaam kader met de perfecte bediening. Wij waren dan ook zeer aangenaam verrast De Ganzenpoel per toeval te mogen ontdekken. Wij namen het 5 gangen menu met aangepaste wijnen, een echte aanrader. Met respect voor streek eigen ingrediënten maakt chef Steven en zijn team top gerechtjes. Ook nog een dikke pluim voor de zeer vlotte en vriendelijke bediening, wij komen zeker terug !

Na enkele positieve ervaringen van vrienden gehoord over De Ganzepoel het dan ook maar eens geprobeerd. Een hele ervaring, je ziet de liefde in de gerechtjes. We namen het 6-gangen menu met aangepaste wijnen. Alles klopte gewoon, perfecte smaken en persoonlijke bediening. Hier moet je niet komen voor een snelle maaltijd, maar je tijd nemen en van opening tot sluitingsuur blijven zitten. We komen terug!
