Boulangerie-pâtisserie Halmes — Restaurant in Malmedy

My family and I stopped on our road trip for some waffles and coffee. It was only about 5 minutes from the autobahn, and WELL worth the short detour. The waffles were incredible! It was busy at 1400-1500 on a Tuesday, but the service was very good. The waitress spoke multiple languages, and she was very friendly. The menu was in French and English. You can buy baked goods to-go, which all looked delicious, or dine-in. We ate inside, but there was also a large outdoor, covered, seating area. Great place with great food and even more amazing staff. Whether it was the freshly made sandwiches or the croissants or the set breakfast meals, everything was delicious! We probably ate more than we should have! Staff was super friendly and accommodating (our French is less than basic...) . We were in Malamedy for 5 days and managed to have our breakfast and get a take out from there...

We had breakfast here on every morning during our stay in Malmedy. The croissant with salmon and the tart flambeau are delicious. You can order everything for breakfast, from fried eggs to champagne.
