I really dislike writing negative reviews, but I'm going to make an exception this time.
Food quality: Both the starter and main course were underwhelming, lacking any real seasoning or variation in taste. When it came to dessert, my wife ordered a crème brûlée, which was the worst version of this classic dessert I have ever encountered. It had no caramelized sugar crust, and the custard was so runny and sour that it resembled milk. The taste was awful, and I have no doubt she would have been sick if she had forced herself to eat it.
Service & organization: Despite having enough staff, the service was disorganized. We had to ask multiple times for both coffee and dessert, which made an already disappointing experience even worse.
Atmosphere: The restaurant was uncomfortably cold. It wasn’t just us—many other guests had to keep their coats and scarves on throughout the meal.

Reserved on Saturday afternoon via an external booking service. The restaurant has accepted the reservation. Once arrived, it is closed but workers are inside. Called the booking service, we are initially told someone will open the door for us in a minute. No one appeared for 20 minutes. Called back the booking service, we receive in the meantime a booking cancellation email and get told by phone by the booking service there is a technical problem (even if we were told the chef was inside and just a few minutes earlier we were going to be host - pretty “strange” this technical issue appeared just 5 minutes later - up to you to think about what it could be).
They saw and ignored us, even if we stayed outside the restaurant (with doors opening every few second by people going to the cinema) in the cold, waiting for a service we have booked.

De ontvangst was cava/ok. We bestelden diverse kipgerechten: vol au vent, salade kip en een kipburger, en moesten maar liefst 60 minuten wachten.
Ondertussen zagen we dat andere klanten, die ongeveer 30 minuten later binnenkwamen en soortgelijk eten bestelden, hun eten al na 15 minuten kregen, vermoedelijk omdat de kelner deze mensen kende, niet fijn.
Toen het eten eindelijk kwam, was het best lekker, maar sommige stukken kip in de vol au vent waren beenhard en niet te eten. Dit bleek ook zo in de kip burger te zijn.
We kregen één potje frietjes, terwijl we dachten dat dit bij elk gerecht zou worden geserveerd, maar blijkbaar was dit voor twee personen bedoeld.
Het eten was eigenlijk veel te duur voor wat je kreeg.
Uiteindelijk is het onze eigen schuld; we hadden de andere reviews hier moeten checken voordat we hier naar binnen gingen. Zoals anderen al zeiden, krijg je bij een McDonald's meer waar voor je geld dan hier.
Al met al was het een teleurstellende ervaring. Bovendien heb ik die avond nog verschillende keren maag/darm klachten gehad.
Hopelijk komt er een eigenaar met wat meer passie voor de zaak en voor kwaliteit. We komen hier zeker niet meer terug.
Het is ergens een schande dat UGC zich samen met deze zaak durft...
