Siam Café — Restaurant in Merchtem

One thing which you need to be aware of, having meal at Siam Café is Fred and Chef Khun will make you like a king and queen in the house.

Authentic Thai taste and quality as expected, in particular Assortiment à la vapeur (Dtim Sum) and fries to start with, then to follow with main dishes and desserts (Yellow mango was just killing it). The foods were all expertly prepared and presented.

Warm hospitality, services and friendliness extended by both Fred and Chef Khun from the arrival till the farewell are just an integrity showing their passion and love in what they are doing, from hearts.

We traveled from Thailand, and pretty picky in term of choosing the address for dinner, with a real quality time. After having done some research, even though it may take 20-minute drive, we decided to drive from Brussels to Siam Café which is located in pretty quiet neighborhood, in Merchtem. And it is worth every euro cent. We love the vibes, and our dinner.

Well, we will be back for sure in the future when we are back in Brussels again. Highly...

Wow. This is like a home away from home. First, you'll be greeted with one of the most friendliest host inviting you into their restaurant that feels more like a home. After we settled in and drinks in our hands, I was very entertained by the Chef's efficiency of her one (wo)man show. Working alone by herself in the kitchen, the Chef managed to cooked and send out each dish in a very timely manner. When it was our turn to enjoy our food, I am again amazed by how authentic and how flavorful every dish was. The banana leaf chicken is soft with just enough spices. The fried spring rolls and fried shrimp wonton made in house are big and crispy and most importantly delicious. The tamarind shrimp is cooked to perfection and flavorful. The sea bass was streamed just right covered with yummy Thai lemon sauce. In conclusion, you won't be disappointed with what you ordered, and you definitely won't...

Wij zouden deze avond bij Siam waar we toch al heel wat jaren komen voor 5 personen gerechten gaan afhalen en aangezien ik niet alles kan en mag eten, had ik gisteren even contact opgenomen met hen om de mogelijkheden te bespreken, het antwoord dat ik van dit restaurant kreeg is om er NOOIT nog een voet binnen te zetten...hoe zou het toch komen dat de "horeca" een slechte reputatie krijgt?...wij maken een rit naar Merchtem van 45 min (als het verkeer meezit...) om dan door de uitbater zo behandeld te worden?? Bye bye Siam !!! "respect" moet U verdienen maar met dit bericht van U??? Ziet U ons samen met de vele vrienden van ons daar in Merchtem "NOOIT" meer verschijnen !!! Hopelijk gaan er bij vele mensen hun ogen open gaan door dit "degoutante" bericht te lezen dat ik van dit restaurant heb mogen ontvangen... zelfs 1 ster geven vind ik al...
