One Word: Amazing!

It’s challenging to encapsulate the explosion of flavors that Vito skillfully melds into each dish. Every plate arrives at your table with a complimentary smile and a spontaneous, fluent description of the culinary masterpiece before you. I love how both Vito and his wife describe the food in a casual, friendly manner, rather than just listing ingredients without understanding their essence, which is common in many other restaurants. You can genuinely feel their pride in these stunning and delectable creations, and rightfully so.
We opted for the full menu with wine pairings 🍷 and were not disappointed. Both the food and the dishes were top-notch and perfectly matched 👌🏼
We started with a delightful dish featuring asparagus and shrimp, a true explosion of flavors. This was followed by a plate that offered a mix of various appetizers you’d find served in Italy, instantly transporting us back to our many wonderful experiences with Italian cuisine. This dish was a brilliant compilation of those memories, beautifully presented 😍 Next, we enjoyed a plate of pasta that was generously topped with fresh black truffle right at our table. Following that, we were served a perfectly cooked piece of octopus. The meal concluded with the most delicious tiramisu we've ever had. This is a bold statement, but as avid tiramisu enthusiasts who rarely miss a chance to order it, we feel confident in our assessment 😆
As a big fan of Italian cuisine, I must say Vito elevates it to the next level, comparable to many Michelin-starred restaurants ⭐⭐ Yet, he does so in a humble, welcoming setting that feels like dining at a friend's place – who happens to be an extraordinary chef that is 👌🏼

Front of the house was run by Annette and able to give suggestions for wine parings. She also was very friendly!
But chef Vito, was the star of the evening. His dishes stayed close to it’s Italian roots without all the “fluff” you see in a lot of Italian restaurants. Beautiful!
We had the Italian Experience Menu. Normally i skip fish fishes because the level of the ingredients are insufficient in regular Italian restaurants. However, chef Vito is so invested in his menu that you can taste the freshness and effort that went into the food.
TIP: I’ve had the Vito Saison beer, that is very special. You must try it if you like beer/lager.
When you visit Oostende, you MUST visit this Italian restaurant. That’s all i can say.
It’s definitely in my top 3 restaurants ever and I’ve been all around the world. I wish we could have this level of cuisine in my hometown of Amsterdam.
@Vito&Annette: hopefully we’ll see you soon!...
