We've consistently enjoyed Pino as an excellent Italian restaurant in the past, but our most recent experience was quite disappointing. The quality of the dishes didn't match the high standard we've come to expect.
For starters, my Gratinated mussels with garlic arrived as simple mussels with garlic in a casserole, not gratinated as described. My guest's Oven-baked Gambas were unfortunately dry and prepared differently from how we've had them previously. Both of our 'Saltimbocca alla Romana' main courses literary fell apart, and we weren't sure if they even contained sage, which is a key ingredient.
This was a significant letdown compared to our previous three visits. We can only speculate that perhaps the regular chef was ill or on vacation. We also noted that Pino no longer appears in the Gault & Millau guide, which adds to our concern about the consistency of the culinary...

The starter plate had almost nothing to eat on it. The bread they brought was even less, like 2-3 small bites in total. The pasta plateâs quality was basic, nothing extraordinary, as its quantity was too. The wine in the glasses also 3-4 small sips, tops. One crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e and a tiramisu, also nothing special. For these we paid 146 euros! I donât mind paying that kind of money for a dinner out with my wife, but I do expect to actually eat and drink something! That was practically a robbery. Red...

Basti pensare che, avevamo prenotato con DUE mesi di anticipo una sala intera per festeggiare la comunione di mia figlia (con tanto di preventivo scritto ed email..), e due giorni prima il proprietario ci ha âscaricatoâ dicendo che si era dimenticato di inserirlo nella sua agenda ed aveva nel frattempo prenotato altri tavoli per la festa della mamma... si puĂČ immaginare che tragedia organizzare un pranzo di comunione un giorno prima... âââââââââââ- Mauvais professionnalisme, organisation et relations avec les clients. Il suffit de dire qu'avec deux mois d'avance, nous avions rĂ©servĂ© une salle entiĂšre pour cĂ©lĂ©brer la communion de ma fille (avec une devis e papier Ă©crite et un courrier Ă©lectronique ..), et deux jours plus tĂŽt, le propriĂ©taire nous a "jetĂ©s dans la rue" en disant qu'il avait oubliĂ© de le mettre dans son agenda et en attendant il avait rĂ©servĂ© d'autres tables pour la fĂȘte des mĂšres ... vous pouvez imaginer quelle tragĂ©die d'organiser un dĂ©jeuner de communion...
