Brasserie Parkheide — Restaurant in Tremelo

The locals of Baal/ Tremelo (Belgium) love exploring this lush wood with recreational opportunities. The domain is only 7 ha. My children always enjoy the playground.

Good food can be found at the brasserie, which is bathed in the peace of the surrounding wood. This is a distinct place of relaxation where you can eat well and enjoy an afternoon with your kids and friends. The tennis courts and playground which border the woods are enough fun and action to experience after a leisurely walk.

Magic is not something you can buy. It’s the experience which you create yourself and then take home when you join together with your littles for a walk. Parkheide Wandelbos is open both summer and winter. The menu is certainly worthwhile to discover the suggestions.

What you should know :

Parkheide Wandelbos is very popular among the local community and on days of good weather, everybody will want to sit out on the terrace meaning you won’t find a seat. In the winter, there are only limited numbers of chairs and tables set out on the terrace, and you will be grounded by personnel if you pull out a spare chair or table for yourself. The personnel is not friendly and probably doesn’t believe they have to be as the brasserie is so popular. Besides being grounded as stated above (2), personnel might also ignore you if you want to order, because they have too many clients to choose from anyway. If you don’t go there, there are plenty of other people lining up for a table (1).

If you manage to put your ego aside and do it for the pleasure of your children, you will enjoy a wonderful afternoon at Parkheide Wandelbos. So if the waiters are obnoxious, just inhale,...

At 18:30 we had our reservation. We left at 19:07. We ordered spareribs, pizza margharita, stoofvlees, and a steak. The spareribs tasted like chicken (i do not like chicken) The pizza had alot of spices that did not get distributed nicely. All in the middle. Stoofvlees seemed to be out of a glass jar. When asked for bearnaise sauce for the steak they said its only served at wintertime. The steak didnt rest either. The blood dripped out like its life depended on it.

We hebben gereserveerd voor 3personen. We kwamen toe en we hebben gewacht en gewacht. Er was een meisje aan de kassa aan het afrekenen en toen ze gedaan had met afrekenen draaide ze haar rug naar ons. Er kwam een oudere man binnen en ik vroeg of we mochten gaan zitten waar we wilden en dat we gereserveerd hadden. Hij zei dat hij iemand zou roepen en vroeg aan dat meisje die haar rug naar ons draaide of ze ons kon verder helpen en ze antwoorde hem op een arrogante onbeschofte manier met:rustig... Rustig... Op een dégoûtante manier! Uiteindelijk kwam ze naar ons toe en het was blijkbaar een probleem om ons een tafel binnen te geven, ook al hadden we gereserveerd. We kregen een heel kleine tafel voor 2personen. Terwijl we met 3personen waren We kregen onze benen, borden enz niet kwijt. Ik had mosselen parkheide besteld, die werden geserveerd in een zwart afgeblakkerde, wat ooit, heel lang geleden, een oranje pot moet zijn geweest. Ik zou het niet durven om dit zo te serveren! De stoelen ZIJN VERSCHRIKKELIJK!!!! Wij komen hier nooit nog terug!!! Ik hoop dat dat jong meisje eens goed op haar gebrek aan respect tov haar collega's en klanten, haar gebrek aan manieren en beleefdheid, dat ze haar daar eens goed op wijzen!!!! Echt zo erg voor die oudere man, die trouwens wel manieren had en beleefd was. Voor ons nooit meer, wij weten...
