Chez Luma — Restaurant in Uccle - Ukkel

Probably my new favourite restaurant in Brussels! This is a an absolute gem, the food, the service, the wine, the atmosphere, I loved it all! So you walk in to a little bistro vibe with a very laid back but incredibly professional server that greets you and suggests a few tables that suit your booking. Once you decide, he brings the menu over on the chalkboard, French bistro style. You then discover a very reasonably priced and carefully selected menu. We went for the: (Complimentary mise en bouche) Falaffel (Starter) Œuf mayonnaise Brochette de bœuf (Main wish) Entrecôte Boufin noir (Desert) Brioche perdue The mise en bouche was, according to my partner, the best and moistest Falafel she has ever tasted and worked so well with the condiments! The starters were very well plated and delicious. I told the waiter I’d like a glass of f light red wine with that and I was given a delicious Bulgarian Gamay that fit the bill perfectly. Then the dishes came out and it was mind blowing! The boudin was clearly my favourite with the young salad, shallot jus and granny smith apple to cut through the fatty meat, simply perfect! The entrecôte was also perfect! With that, the waiter recommended a bolder wine with a bit more of a kick and brought us a perfectly suited Bordeaux. If you think things couldn’t get any better, you are mistaken, the desert was OUT OF THIS WORLD, the ice cream was probably the best one I’ve had in my life, we had one ball of vanilla, one of pistachio with the brioche Perdue and although it was all delicious, special mention to the pistachio that was to die for!
