Als afsluiter nog twee heerlijke friandises.

Bediening was zeer goed verzorgd.

My recent lunch at this two-star Michelin restaurant in Brussels was an absolute pleasure, and it’s safe to say I’ll be returning. Right from the start, the tranquil ambiance set the perfect backdrop, making the entire experience deeply relaxing. The staff was impeccable: efficient, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. Service of this calibre, I must say, is a rare gem.

As for the cuisine, I ordered à la carte, beginning with homard breton, a beautifully prepared lobster dish that was simply flawless. For my main, I chose the filet de chevreuil (venison) — a superbly executed, tender cut, showcasing classic culinary expertise. The food leans towards the traditional, which I greatly appreciated; there were no molecular flourishes, foams, or bubbles here. Instead, it was an honest and exceptional presentation, rich in flavour and quality.

One added touch that truly enhanced the experience was the voiturier service. Having my car meticulously taken care of on arrival was a stress-free bonus.

All in all, this was a memorable lunch from start to finish. This was my first visit, but I already know it’s going to be one of my favourite Michelin-starred spots...

First time coming in this nicely located restaurant in Brussels. The food was delicious. Especially the deer filet scored some points! However the service was insufficient and honestly disappointing for a restaurant with such an honerable image. We needed to wait sometimes really long, it was hard to make eye contact/ weave at waiters. We also asked multiple times to different waiters to also give the explanation in Dutch, and not only in French. This was forgotten quite frequently, and at some point the waiter seemed a bit annoyed. At 22:00 we were trying to make contact with the waiters. At 22:20 someone finally came to our table, so we asked for the bill, and 20 minutes later, the bill was still not there. Then we went to the bar of the restaurant by ourselves to pay there, and waiters saw us standing but didn’t reach out for us. One of the waiters made their apologies and gave us the aperitif for free. This was a nice gesture. All in all it food was nice, but service was far from what you expect at a 2 Michelin...

Dining at Le Chalet de la Forêt was an unforgettable gastronomic journey. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and warm ambiance set the stage for an extraordinary meal. Each dish was a masterpiece, both in presentation and flavor. The tartlet with creamy filling and puffed grains offered a delightful start, followed by crispy discs nestled on a bed of pistachios—a playful yet refined bite. The delicately prepared eggs served on a nest of hay were as visually stunning as they were delicious. The seared protein wrapped in translucent onion layers and adorned with fresh herbs showcased the chef’s artistry and precision. The artisanal bread selection, served with rich butter and fresh honeycomb, highlighted the restaurant’s attention to detail, even in the simplest offerings. Dessert was equally captivating, with delicate pastry tubes filled with cream, garnished with citrus slices and edible petals—a perfect finale to an extraordinary meal.

A 2 star Michelin restaurant hidden in the middle of forests. Once you step into it you are immediately invited to the tranquility of woods. You can choose where to enjoy your aperitif: by the fire or on table. The dishes join both tradition and creativity: fresh ingredients, creative combinations. I especially enjoyed the lobster and lambs. The fat of the lamb is grilled to an extraordinary tasty and crunchy state which is strikingly delicious. For desserts the honey combined with grilled rosemary is quite creative yet brings out a nostalgia of happiness, and the raspberry tart is very tasty. The whole ambiance is minimalism with white as the main theme. The staff are friendly and attentive. It has been a quite romantic memory.
