Zaborov — Restaurant in Waregem

The atmosphere is good and it's clearly a popular place. However, the service is very slow. I ate there two nights in a row as I was staying at the hotel.

The menu is a weird combination of pizza, burgers or Asian dishes. Worrying, because the chef can't be a specialist.

I tried the beef teriyaki noodles which were nice, but nothing special.

Avoid the beef burgers. They are terrible store bought rubbish. Zero texture grey / white slabs of proccessed meat. To add insult to injury, the 10 fries were stone cold on arrival and the burger was just barely above that. Not worth the money.

Trying to get the attention of waiting staff was hard work as they were so busy and at least one of them only seemed to be allowed to collect dishes. They were all very nice, courteous and friendly when they finally got the chance to come to the table and were nice...

I stayed at Park Hotel and decided to try dinner here. I ordered a drink, some food, and spring rolls. The drink arrived very quickly. However, I had to wait over an hour for the food with no sign of it arriving. I followed up with the first staff member, who told me the food would be ready within 10 minutes. After that, a plate of French fries was mistakenly served to my table, which made me feel even more frustrated. I then called over the person who took my order and was told that someone had deleted my order from the system. This response was completely irresponsible and showed a lack of service quality and care...

We houden van de service en de keuken van Zaborov, daarom blijven we er komen. Alleen jammer dat we telkens met barstende koppijn, tot migraine toe, weggaan omwille van de veel te luide, ongezellige en dreunende muziek. Als je het personeel hierop aanspreekt beamen ze dit, en geven toe dat dit voor hen ook heel vermoeiend is. Maar, hoor je, wij zijn niet de baas, dit hoort bij het concept. Jammer, want het is een topplek met een leuke keuken en goeie service. Kunnen jullie echt geen deel van de zaak voorzien waar een babbel onder tafelgenoten wel mogelijk is? Wat je fijn kunt tafelen zonder die zware bassen die je kop teisteren? Waar die generaties samen een glas kunnen drinken en lekkere dingen delen maar vooral ook samen kunnen praten??? Benieuwd naar...
