Bistro R — Restaurant in Zaventem

Does this restaurant double as a party venue? I guess so as we were seated between some DJ equipement and strange ornaments. Not the best location. The food is ok with the kitchen trying to make it look fancy and “special”. The quality is however not on par with the price and the style seems a little dated. Over the few lunches I had at this restaurant, service lacked mainly because of the size of the premises and the number of customers. The restaurant clearly targets people working in the surrounding business parks looking for food a notch above the company restaurant. Hence you should not count on this place for a romantic or relaxed...

Quite good. I've been there 3 times already in the last month and I like it. The food is very good, plates are prepared with delicacy. If you go for lunch be sure to either take time enough for a long lunch or tell them in advance you don't have much time. If you don't ask them to speed up the service you can easily spend 2 hours...

Certainly a good place to know located in a neighborhood where there are not that many other restaurants. Good food and wine list, but maybe a tiny bit expensive - however certainly not to the point the place should be acoided. Very extensive...
