Patatrak — Restaurant in Zaventem

All food was delicious. We had scallop as a starter and veal kidney with sauce and rare filet mignon as main dishes. It is nice to have veal kidney (something different finally) in Flanders. The rare filet mignon was not only very delicious and soft but also perfectly cooked as rare. The scallop was also very delicious with its creamy sauce. I think that sauce also has some cheese. Negatives: Everything is a little bit expensive comparing to similar restaurants. When we stepped in the restaurant everyone looked at us like they all knew each other and we seemed foreigners. Well that's true, we are just expats but looks were a little bit annoying. The service seemed a bit slow because were full already when the waitress came and asked for a dessert 20 minutes after giving the desert menu. Overall, it is a good restaurants. We had a wonderful experience for our first time at this restaurant. The food is prepared with extreme care and very tasty. A definite plus is that you will find dishes you hardly find at other places like the veal kidneys with mustard sauce. Fantastic!
