...I visited Belize and stayed at the Los Lagos community just under 4miles away. The host for my Airbnb took me to eat at this little local establishment. I ate fried red snapper fish with rice n peas and Cole slaw. The proprietor is Cynthia, helped by her daughter. Cynthia suggested her self-made peppers for topping the snapper. I poured the pepper juice off into the slice of the fish and placed the peppers atop the rice n peas. The fish was fresh, tasty and the pepper juice only heightened the fish flavor. My sides helped to give me a well nourished feeling with a smile. The food price is very modest, so don't break your bank. If yah looking for AC, yah donn seh noten, just go elsewhere or bring ye fan. Cynthia's bubbly interaction was also a delight. Some music was playing on the telly from the youtube channel which added to an island feel. WOW i went there today July 09,2019 I ordered a plate of rice and beans with lamb .Mein I could still taste the food as am writing this it was really nice.Not many people you can find that cooks good food in Belize clean and nice and friendly.Cynthia been doing this for years from she was by RC. Primary school selling from then I liked her food and she still cook nice better than them nasty Chinese. Visited here as soon as I landed in Belize. They had a interesting menu which included Gibnut..... no it doesn't grow on a tree or bush. I asked the waitress what was it she replied game. I asked what kind deer, rabbit, boar, monopoly or scrabble. She didn't know. A patron let me know it was a rodent in the paca family. Oh boy!!! I passed.
