Went for lunch on a Friday. I was with a party of 6, we were the only ones in the restaurant besides one bartender, one waitress, and one cook. 4 people at our table ordered the burger, 1 person ordered chicken wings, and I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich. The waitress took our order right away and turned it into the kitchen. After 15 minutes of waiting a couple sat down at another table, bringing the grand total to 8 customers. 30 minutes passed since we ordered. The waitress brought out 4 burgers and then turned around and went back to the kitchen. Another 15 minutes went by, and she finally returned with the chicken wings. At this point the 4 people eating burgers were nearly finished. We reminded her that we were sstill waiting on my sandwich. The waitress disappeared again for a few minutes, then came back out with a taco plate for the other table. As she was walking by, we asked about my sandwich, she said they were working on it. I sat and watched my friends finish their burgers, and my other friend finish her chicken wings, the other table finish their tacos, and still no COLD ham sandwich!!!!!. It's been well over an hour now since ordering. Everyone at the table is restless to pay and leave to do other things, but stayed there to be polite. Another 15 minutes go by, finally she comes out with a huge 3 layer sandwich. It has 3 giant thick pieces of bread. Each layer consisted of 1 piece of American cheese, 1 tiny tomato a few pieces of onion and a small bit lettuce. The ham consisted of 1 thin silver dollar sized circular piece of Canadian bacon that I assume is used for pizza toppngs. That was the WORST ham sandwich I have ever had in my life!!! I literally paid $28 for 3 slices of bread and wasted over 90 minutes of my life waiting for it!!! Never again!!! Step it...
Read moreWe found this place while exploring the northern island. We wanted some cold drinks and some food and man, where we glad we found this place. It has the atmosphere of a US sports bar mixed with a surfing bar, so pretty low-key. It is not cheap nor is it as expensive as the tourist traps on the southern island (p.e. 325ml of soda for 4 Belizian dollars).
We ordered the potato wedges (16 Belize) and Bruschetta (16 Belize). It was plenty as lunch for two people. Wedges are as good as it gets but the bruschetta was something different. It wasn't the Italian style bruschetta but more like a garlic bread on which you could add the tomato. Lovely. Would highly recommend. We saw some pizza's coming by which we didn't eat but wanted to eat so bad because it looked so good, this was even after we were full. They are made in an actual stone oven by the way. If you are still reading this long review you are obviously curious. Just do it....

We had such a fun time here. We ate at La Fogata four times. They have delicious food, great drinks, and the perfect laid-back atmosphere. The burger was fantastic and the wood-fired pizza was incredible! They have pizza starting at 4pm. Loved playing games while we waited. You check them out in the shop attached. You want to be very specific with your order. For example, I said I wanted fries instead of potato wedges. The gal gave me a side of fries for...
