Our family had several meals here during our stay and the food and service were excellent. I also appreciated their willingness to cook a simple chicken and salad meal for my son (a picky eater). The prices were reasonable as the quality of food was good. (We ate in town one night at a highly rated restaurant and found that experience lacking by comparison.) I would describe the ambiance as comfortable, understated elegance - not fussy - with attention to detail - such as the wrap-around water feature and quality artworks. There are often birds to watch during the day. We noticed that the locals also enjoy coming here for a special occasion Sunday brunch (and I would too). I would also choose to come here if I were staying at another resort and had a car - you may wish to call and inquire about a reservation though because it is an intimate dining space - not a lot of tables. We visited just days before the wine space was about to open, which we would have liked to have visited because it looked just amazing. I CAN tell you that the wine list was carefully considered and we enjoyed at least two exceptional bottles on separate occasions. (Note: In early April there were NO mosquitoes, which was also a bonus.) Thank you Claudia, Mark and...
Read moreDinner selection wasn't available and only 3/4 options were available for lunch. The options included pasta and salad and so if you're looking for lunch options with variety, I would not recommend. The server did not check up on us and I had to go look for her because I ordered 2 piña coladas requesting for them to be alcohol free and they gave us with liquor. They were able to take it back and gave the correct order. I ordered carbonera and it tasted bland. I did not feel satisfied for the price I paid. I was surprised that they did not offer inside dining which is fine for weather right now but if you visit during the hot months, keep this in mind. Be sure to have a good car that can go through some bumps and mud along the way. The charm of the place is that it is separated from the main town and we saw a lot of birds and there was a nice view of the mountains.
I personally will not return for the lack of variety in lunch options and...
Read moreWOW, this was GREAT! After a week in Belize having some decent and some lousy food, we went to 3 Senses for a late lunch or early dinner. It was about 4pm, so I wasn't surprised that no one else was dining at the moment, and pleasantly surprised that we could order off the lunch menu but also the dinner menu. We had margheritas (perfect!) and I had a fish option off the dinner menu which was outstanding. The sauces were perfection. My wife had gnocchi, which was also delicious. (Margherita and gnocchi, don't judge us). The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff professional, and now over a week back in the States and I'm thinking about the meal I had at 3 Senses....
