Nice staff and great setup with a good restaurant, pool, and cool little lagoon with turtles and iguanas in the trees. Rooms are pretty basic, but suffice as a home base for the incredible excursions you can do in the area -- tours pick you up from the hotel in the morning, which is super convenient. Getting to town is decently easy with taxis. Relative to the other accommodations in the area, this is a great value for the money.

The food was really delicious, along with it's fresh all natural Orange Juice. The restaurant area has a warm feel to it and the staff is quite contented and always there to serve you. Not much noise, unless if there is a event going on in the conference or cabana area. The only issue is that the price for the various dishes are pretty expensive. But it's worth tasting. #letsguide

I'm here with a large group and they said to put our orders in when we got there (around 7-7:15) and they would all be ready by 8. Bt 9 we've all been waiting so long they bring us appetizers to apologize for the wait. 30 minutes later, not food, but another appetizer, meaning an even longer wait. It was more than an hour and a half after they said it'd be ready before the first person in our group got their food and took as much as 2 and a half hours for others and they forgot portions of multiple meals. Then on top of that, a whole group of people (I believe those of us who ordered the lobster) wound up in and out of the bathroom due to food poisoning the next day. That night we went elsewhere for dinner then came back to shower and go to sleep, and then the water stopped working suddenly. They said too many people tried to shower at once and that it would be solved in about 30 minutes. Well almost 9 hours later I'm writing this review and we are using water bottles to wash our hands and...

This review is only about the food by the Aguada 'Restaurant', not the hotel (which doesn't exist anymore anyway). After waiting for more than an hour, we recieved a meal which was one of the worst in the past few months of travel. The burger tasted like it was made from prepackaged meat, the fries just weren't good and the 'garlic bread' was just dry sweetish toasted bread with no garlic, no butter, no umami flavours. The wait staff did not come by our table (at the pool, to be fair, but that is also where the bar is) for drinks one single time, we had to walk to the bar to order food and drinks every single time. So bad food and bad service for Belize tourist prices, would not recommend eating here... You can get a WAY better bang for your buck on any of the roadside streetfood joints on the...

Poor customer service. The front desk hosts were alright but the fact that the manager did not want to talk to us directly was very unprofessional. She/he just wanted the front desk hosts to deal with our issue. Laundry is too pricey at 10USD PER BAG. Restaurant maybe had some bad meat or poor hand hygeine cos a few people from our trip got sick after eating there with nausea/vomitting/diarrhea. Some rooms did not have a fridge/microwave and its common for small lizards and caterpillars to come into your room (probably unavoidable at times, just a heads up if you do not like little things crawling into your room while you sleep) They did provide daily cleaning of your room, they change all your towels and make your bed. But keep in mind that they do not exchange your water bottle...
