La Pirogue — Restaurant in Cotonou

We asked for a grilled fish sandwich and a seafood platter—nothing fancy—but it took nearly an hour and a half for anything to arrive.

First, they brought out the sandwich—cold, with soggy bread and no sides—then made us wait another 35 minutes for the platter.

The staff barely paid attention to us. When we asked (politely) about the delay, one server snapped that the kitchen was “doing their best.” Then, nearly an hour in, they casually informed us that they were out of the shrimp that was supposed to be part of the platter.

To top it off, one of the waiters slammed a tray down near our table, knocking over both our drinks. It took them almost half an hour to clean the mess—and no one apologized.

When the seafood platter finally arrived, it was a disaster. The scallops were rubbery, the crab had an odd smell, and the mussels were ice cold in the middle.

We tried—calmly—to explain our concerns, but instead of listening, they got defensive and started raising their voices. We left...

This is a family and business restaurant as well casual meeting place with friends ,in the heart of city ..missebo.

The menu has various seafood option for the seafood lovers..also they have sandwich counter like subway ( vegeratian and seafood) with many bread choices like Baguette (french bread), lenanise bread, panini, vienna bread.

They have few dessert, few fresh juices.

They also make fried starters.

They have african food option

They have very nice interior of a sea, boat themes.

The service was terrible as was the food. We ordered simple fish and chips ans a sandwich and it took 2 and a half hours. The fish didn't come with the chips and we had to wait more and the waiters shouted at us. They didn't have things we ordered at first and told us only 1 hour after ordering. Even worse they and the dropped our drinks on purpose and took 30 mins to come clean it up. The food was disgusting and the fish was uncooked. They shouted at us when we complained and we...
