Paraquet Restaurant — Restaurant in Main Island

We came with a crowd of 12. I'm not sure how their service is with a small group, but it took FOREVER for us to get our food - and refills AND my refill was hot and the lady never came back with ice.. That said, the food was good when we finally received it. Decent prices compared to many restaurants on the island - a cheesburger with fries and slaw cost $11ish dollars. My family can be quite a challenge to deal with in a restaurant setting, and not once did the waitress or manager appear upset or frustrated with our many requests. Thumbs up to them for that. I'm not sure if they close early and we came near the closing time (we arrived around 1:45), but service could have been much quicker. There were no other people in the restaurant safe for a few folks at the bar. Moral of the story, don't come here to eat in a hurry, but do come here. Food's...

Ample parking and love this out of city mom & pop dineresque setting. I love that it sets a different time compared to the modern world. Everything feels homely and homemade. Love how child friendly it is, too. Wish they had booths rather than table settings to accommodate large groups or initmate settings with family. The main dining area felt like a cafeteria. Went there with 3 toddlers, and the servers were very attentive and patient with us. Seriously, if we didn't have such great customers also being patient and allowing the wee ones to be themselves, it probably would've been annoying for them to enjoy their food since seating arrangements are so close. Horrible..the food is over priced and it was NOT good. The fish cake had no thyme, parsley or seasoning my mom refused to eat it. I ordered the Paraquet burger medium well but it was well done and hard. They forgot my mushrooms so the waitress went and returned with BURNT mushrooms and onions. I asked her if she was joking. She said she will tell the manager we were unsatisfied but whomever that is NEVER came to our table.
