You must visit this hidden gem, just outside the East Gate of Algonquin Park in Whitney for munchies, lunchies, or an evening nosh. Nothing disappoints! Come for the cool, retro-camp vibe and stay for the delicious food, coffee, and super friendly staff! Eat in if you can because the setting is incredible, especially in the fall on the patio. Stunning fall colours! But if the weather doesn’t allow, sitting at one of the vintage chrome chairs inside the tavern, and enjoying the retro aesthetic is such a cool part of the experience. I particularly appreciate the veggie food options, the ethically produced coffee and the compostable take-out packaging. That is a +++ for me. I feel the love for the environment here! 🌴 Ambience: A lovely tavern with lots of small games at each table, beautiful lights and instruments everywhere. It feels so cozy inside. Also our server/chef/drink maker was an absolute delight, suggesting amazing drinks for us all and being overall friendly and giving us some hiking tips.

🍲 Food: We got a campfire iced latte, a strawberry mocktail and got the roasted red pepper and falafel sandwiches. Everything was delicious, well made and quick!

🫑 Vegetarian Value: Lots of drinks to choose from and we were asked if dairy was alright, so I assume there's vegan alternatives for the drinks. There are two vegetarian sandwiches, as well as garlic bread.
