Tonight we went to have dinner. This place is our usually place to dine when in Sarajevo. Unfortunately they sold my mama a week out of date. “Kefir” drink! When this was pointed out they saw nothing wrong with the out of date product.
My mother took the drink to the waiter and said it was out of date, she was just told ‘don’t worry nothing will happen to you!’ Disgusted with this response she then went to the till to pay the bill but to also challenge them about selling out of date goods. At this point the head chef came out to make a joke about the situation, saying ‘ it won’t kill you’ this embarrassed my mama. She then went onto discuss the bill with the till worker and she said she would check there fridge stock for any more out of date, she said there were 3 more only. We actually dont know if she removed them from the stock! She did apologise… however we just wanted to get out of there. My mama parting words were I hope I will be ok after drinking this out of date product!!
We absolutely will not be going...
Read moreI've been is Sarajevo 3 times in the last couple of years. Cevap is my favorite local dish and since my very first time in this country and in this city, I have tried cevap in different restaurants and I can tell at this rstaurant is the best I have tried so far. In a more turistic area (old town) you will also pay double the price you will pay here and the quality may not be as good. Also since my last time here they improved a lot the facilities. The restaurant looks super nice and have separate areas for no smokers. Super well thought. The only reason why I dont give 5 stars is for the service. They need to be more friendly with the tourists. One of the waiters brought me a beer assisting a colleague who took my order. He was very rude, ingnored me completely. I said thank you! He just turned back like he put the bottle in an empty table. Very bad for a place that offers such good and...
Read moreHighly recommended by locals, we reached this place with high expectations and to our surprise, being accommodated to entirely different cuisines, they still lived upto our expectations. Ambience is interestingly dim and does bring out character of this place. Certainly photo worthy! Staff was attentive and hospitable, patient enough to clarify all the queries and details asked from the menu, and they took their time. The place was crowded but not fulll when we reached, and if this is usual for them, I reckon they are understaffed. Most importantly, the beer and food was very good, tastebuds-satisfying. Staff recommendations of traditional Bosnian food were worth the try. Menu spread was good too. Definitely a meat lovers paradise. The Cevapi are to die for at an affordable price. This place is highly recommended! Definitely will return when we are...
