Standard waiting of 1 hour to even get in which we expected so I am not accounting this into my review. We finally get in and get seated, we are ignored by everyone for more than 30 minutes and it would be more but we were on our end and we finally decide to ask for a waiter to come. The waiter comes, and instead of apologising he laughs at us and says he totally forgot we are his table. The menus were also never brought to us, we had to get them ourselves. We finally get to order, happy, thinking this is finally it, we wait for 15 minutes but to our surprise the waiter is coming back but with no food in his hands. He informs us that everything we ordered (4 different dishes) and all house specialties are “not available”. While we are thinking what to order instead, he very inpolitely tells us that we have 2 more minutes to order of we will not get anything (we are there for more then one and a half hour at this point). We all switch and order something else, and he assures us that these dishes are available. 5 more minutes later he is coming back, again with no food, and informs us that 2 of the 4 new dishes we ordered and he assured us are available, are indeed not. He tells us that we should share one plate of food if we are not hungry!!! Which we of course are since I dont think anyone comes to a restaurant when they are not hungry, especially after waiting outside for 1 hour, and more then 1 hour inside. We try to order a beefsteak and he doesn’t even ask us how we want it cooked so we switch for the FOURTH time, and again 5 minutes later he is coming back to inform us that this is also not available. At this point we say we are tired of this, we have been sitting there for more then 2 hours with no food, and we say we will not have anything and that we will leave. He assures us now to order anything and we can get it, which makes no sense. We leave, and on our way out, we see the dish we have wanted to order in the first place (Sejina sablja) sitting right there in the fridge, after being told they dont have it. Total catastrophe, our first time here 4+ Years ago was amazing and we were embarassed to take our friends to such a...
Read moreVisited Sejo Brajlovic with a group of friends, expecting one of Sarajevo’s most hyped steakhouses to deliver a memorable experience. Unfortunately, what we received was far from what you’d expect at a steakhouse restaurant of this reputation—or price point.
I planned to order a T-bone steak, only to be questioned by the staff as to why I was choosing it instead of the house special. My three friends went with the “Sejo Brajlovic Special Steak,” and we politely requested that the staff avoid the loud, flashy fire celebration that comes with it. This request was declined outright—apparently, the spectacle is non-negotiable.
When it came to the food itself, things went from disappointing to frustrating. The so-called “special steaks” arrived medium and were grilled even more in front of us on a preheated oily plate. Not only did this presentation strip the steaks of their proper doneness, but it also left an unpleasant greasy mess. My T-bone at least avoided that fate, as it didn’t fit on the plate, but the entire process felt clumsy and far removed from the finesse you’d expect from a serious steakhouse.
Beyond the steaks, the service added to the letdown. Staff members left oily stains while handling food at the table, and the whole performance element came across as more show than substance.
In the end, what should have been a high-quality dining experience left us disappointed and frustrated. For the 550KM price tag, I would honestly feel better giving that money to someone in need rather than spending it at what can only be described—in local terms—as a “ljakse” restaurant.
Sejo Brajlovic may have the hype, but when it comes to true steak craftsmanship and professional service, it falls far short of...
Read moreThe meat and chicken was served pretty much raw and keep mind I prefer my grilled meats medium-rare (after being served cold over an hour and a half after placing the order).
The waiter was rude beyond comprehension from the very beginning and totally unprovoked. I’d go far beyond saying that he’s a racist against anyone in a veil (muslim) and even more so, towards arabs.
When we kindly asked for the order to be replaced and cooked a little more so as not to be RED (not pink, RED) in the centre, he spoke in his language under his breath and then scoffed that it wasn’t his problem.
We also ordered hummus, which when we did, the waiter apparently didn’t like even though it’s an option on the menu. He brought it ages later only for him to serve us a plastic container of hummus seemingly from the supermarket and when I told him to cancel it since it wasn’t freshly made, he smirked and said “this is not arabia baba”…
Filthy place with filthy people.
What’s even worse is that when we saw the owner there and tried to simply explain the issue and point it out before we left, he simply gestured to the door. What should you expect from the employee if the owner himself seems to lack basic manners and consideration for his customers?
Absolutely would not recommend and if I could give it less than a star I would. Food’s horrendous, staff’s racist, and the location’s not all that either to be honest.
Disgusting service from alen halilovic (the rude and racist waiter) and the...
