As a profesional Chef and Pizzaiolo and as someone who’s in love with Italy and have Ben in Italy for over 3 times I was craving in my travels real authentic Italian food and I found it where least expected! Not in any of the major cities of Argentina or Brazil like Buenos Aires or Rio de Jenaro but in a little small town in the north east part of Brazil I have found the most incredible home made authentic Italian pasta! The Carbonara! Mamma Mia! This was the star for me, as someone who appreciates authenticity I wasn’t expecting much because usually outside of Italy it’s very hard to find good authentic Carbonara but to my surprise here in this place they make it as authentic as they can and it’s wonderful. Even if I got this pasta in Italy I would be happy and that’s says a lot.
The other types of pasta we tried were also very good and definitely above the South American standard. The owners that by the way were super nice and hospitable recommended that we would next time take the Ravioli as it’s they’re specialty.
The bruschetta with the tomatoes was also very classic and reminded me of Italy The only part I could leave out was the tiramisu which was not very classic maybe due to lack of ingredients yet it still tasted very good and homey and gave a nice finish...
Read moreSorry but as some other guests wrote food might be authentic but the SIZE of the portion made me think it was an entry. I tried kindly ask for more and explain this was a kids portion but the waitress told me "senhora tein boa apetito". Come on really? Pretty rude I am not a big eater I doubt it a real Italian mamma Mia would let you leave her kitchen hungry. Waitress told me this is the portion of Italian food in Brazil. Sure. Brazilian kids. I prefer the usual size we get in any other real trattorias.
Sadly that's how I leave - hungry won't...

No volveríamos.
