Horrible. My partner and I went here to try a new place on our way home from the beach because it seemed cute. The service was terrible… we were ignored even before being seated, with a quarter-full restaurant, which should have been our first clue. Ignored at the table repeatedly while trying to get the waiter’s attention. I ordered a glass of red wine, and it came tasting like vinegar and chilled VERY cold—which means they knew it was bad and served it anyway, because you don’t chill red wine like that. I asked them for a different kind of wine by the glass and they didn’t have any. They eventually took the bad wine back grudgingly. Meanwhile, we both ordered filet mignon, and it took close to another hour and fifteen more minutes to get our food. When it arrived, it looked like a cut of pot roast… we ordered it ao ponto and it came brown throughout—very well done—and tough—and thin, not tall the way filet mignon normally is. We asked if it’s even actually filet mignon and they insisted that it was but that it had just been pounded and tenderized into that shape….. so I guess the quality of the meat they served was just bad? My partner had been having acid reflux and asked for his meal to be cooked in olive oil not butter, and the vegetables came drenched in butter so he could not eat them. The rice had absolutely NO sauce or flavoring of any kind. I have had better school cafeteria food. They refused to take the food back or give us a discount on the messed up steaks. They said the reason the food was not cooked properly was that they “had a problem with their system tonight”—whatever that means? And apparently we their first time customers were supposed to pay for the bad food stemming from their broken system? The best they would do was drop the service charge they were going to add to the bill—because they said they had already taken my bad wine back—as though that was a favor they had done for me! They said the boss was not there so they weren’t authorized to give a discount and the staff would have to pay if we didn’t pay, which is an extremely manipulative thing to tell customers in order to guilt them. If that is how stingy the owner is, he doesn’t deserve business. Obviously we are never going back, and I will say that at $18 US dollars per meal before wine, service, dessert, this place is too expensive to waste your money on. For that price you could have a real chef cook you a real filet at a churrascaria… there is NO reason to eat bad steak in Brazil. If you are a tourist, please try Pizzaria Basilico (great service, amazing food). I would not recommend anyone to go here. And their owner REALLY needs to read these reviews because the service was easily the worst I’ve had in the last year at any restaurant in any...
Me leva ao Espírito Santo, à Bahia...
Read moreCouldn't actually eat here because they didn't respond to my website booking request or messages to reserve a table.
Since I couldn't get hold of them online, visited in person on 19/3/23. Google Maps and their website said they were open all day on Sundays, but when I arrived at 3:30pm they said they were closed until 4pm. Waited and went back at 4:05pm, and they had...
