Walked in on a busy Friday night with nine total people, and we’re lucky enough to be seated right away.
Service was great , the atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing. It’s beautifully designed with large windows surrounding it, it’s clean and very lively.
I ordered the torched salmon , Seabass in the oven, and some natural oysters.
The Torched salmon was good. Nice char flavor from torche. However to my luck, they served me it cold, few min after torching… Wich killed the dish 2.6/5
Natural Oyster was disgusting. Served room temperature, not cold, so i know it was not the freshest or was stored improperly. Also tasted slimy and extremely fishy. Never again. 1/5
Sea bass in the oven was amaing. Truly a culinary trained chef prepared the dish. It was well balanced overall, with the bass being cooked to perfection, amazing sear on it, beautifuly cooked soft vegies that added tge perfect texture and flavour, micro greens ontop, and a final drizzle of olive oil around the whole dish. All this while sitting on a bed of perfectly smooth buttery soft mashed potatoes. 5/5 Dish. Absolutely get it again
A table member was not able to finish ther seafood pasta, so i had a shot at it, and to my surprise, it was realy good. Ive had many of these throughout my days however was always disappointed, weather it be too little seafood or unpleasant combinations. Well this place nailed it. From the doneesse of the pasta to the type of sauce used, and to the verry respectable amount of seafood they put in this one dish. All i could say was wow. They add tons of octopus, shrimp, calamari, clams, all cooked to perfection. i mean Great job. 5/5
Downsides. I tried both salades shown in the pics, and let me just say, they are a gimmick. The lettuce pieces are enormous, cannot fit all ingredients in one bite. Underdressed, and just not good. They both get 2/5
I also tried ther fried shrimp, although the shrimp itself is big, juicy and fresh, it is coated in a batter that is just too thic, takes away from the simple beauty of the shrimp ruines it in a way.
Service was great. Our waiter was on-top of taking care of used plates, refilled napkins without having to ask, and attentive.
Overall, i give Ferreiro Praia a 4.1/5 although there food had some significant hiccups, sea basse in oven, the seafood pasta, the atmosphere, and the customer service carried this...

Although advertised for two, I could have easily eaten it by myself. The rice was a little more al dente than what I'm accustomed to and the shrimp could have been a little less done. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cakes with ice cream. We quickly devoured it and ordered another. Warm chocolate ran from a perfectly executed cake and the ice cream was great. A comida é servida em pratos individuais e é muito boa, porém com ressalvas. Isso porque, já ocorreu de faltar ingredientes do prato por mais de uma vez. Nessas ocasiões, informaram para trocar o prato ou adicionar outro acompanhamento. Além disso, também já ocorreu de eu ter pedido um prato de polvo, mas veio passado, ficando o polvo borrachudo. Pedi para trocar e o que veio em seguida estava bom.
Lembrando que o nome do local é Ferreiro Praia, tendo ênfase em comidas de litoral, peixes, mariscos, entre outros. Apesar disso, o cardápio também oferece opções de carne que não deixa nada a desejar. É muito bom!
É um local que você pode sentar, beber e ficar conversando horas e horas sem perceber o tempo passar. E sobre isso, uma dica para o restaurante seria de aumentar o número de banheiros, pois um restaurante desse porte é inviável ficar somente com um banheiro individual masculino e outro individual feminino. Já fui diversas vezes no restaurante e não teve uma vez que fiquei sem pegar fila para utilizar o banheiro. Agora imaginem a pessoa que está bebendo, apertado, querendo usar o banheiro e tendo que pegar fila. É complicado!
Bom, já sobre o preço, é o que se espera de um restaurente localizado na área nobre de São Luís. Os pratos individuais variam de 39 a 59 reais. E a cerveja lonck neck de 8 a 9 reais, ficando de fora as cervejas especiais.
