Restaurante Canoa — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata de Valença

I’ve never felt so loved by an establishment as I felt by the staff of this humble little Italian beachfront restaurant. In a world filled with confusion, anger and frustration, this restaurant is an oasis of kindness and wholesomeness like I’ve never seen before in my life, and I do not say this lightly. What a beautiful place, with such an incredible staff! I wish I could hug the owner; he is the cutest little Italian you’ve ever seen, and the staff so incredibly warm and welcoming- to the point of nearly bringing me to tears. If you ever find yourself at Morro de São Paulo, I implore you- please dine here at least once. I will carry this experience with me for a very long time, and I sincerely hope you, too, can experience the kindness I was bestowed with during my visit.

Edit: the little Italian owner just kicked a butterfly on the ground thinking it was a leaf, then when he saw it was a butterfly, he looked so sad and started apologizing to it 🥺 thankfully the butterfly...

BEST place to have Italian food on the island. We looked at the menu and knew it had to be an Italian cook or owner! I had the home made gnocchi made from ricotta and it was amazing. Once the owner knew that were on Honeymoon he came to congratulate us and we even got some limoncello at the end of the night. Also the French waiter was so friendly and nice. It really is a very good place to have Italian food. We forgot to take pictures because it was so good 🙈 and ate everything right away! I do have a picture of the view from the restaurant...

The best restaurant in Morro de São Paulo When we got to the restaurant (me and my girlfriend), there was only one table occupied so we couldn’t imagine that this empty place had such wonderful food. Canoa makes the tastiest mixture of Italian and local cuisine with their excellent fresh pasta and Brazilian seafood. The owner of the place, Cláudia, is also a very friendly person and with her easy chats the restaurant becomes even more enjoyable.
