AVOID!!!! Do not come here, at least if you are a tourist... What a shame! We came here just before 5pm on a Monday, there were only a few people there as you would expect at that time.
We were greeted by the manager who wrote down the price per person and I made sure that was the total price, nothing more and he confirmed. Plus any additional items of course.
We had a fairly nice experience with the food, side dishes were brought out first and the fries were definitely reheated, more than once by the deep stale saturated fat taste, not fresh at all. However we didn't come here for fries...
The meat was brought out on skewers, first chicken and sausage, then beef, pork and so on... It was all quite tasty and nice, I left large amounts of fat as I wanted to leave room for the actual meat. After the first round the same skewer of beef was brought round 4 or 5 times which we found amusing. There was only a few people so I presume they didn't want to cook any more than they already had.
We then asked for the meat we wanted as the same beef did the rounds again. After the meats came was a grilled pineapple and it was delicious. All fairly good so far...
We go to pay and was presented with a bill by the same manager and it was a lot higher than my quick calculation previously. We did also have a small Caipirinha (which was quite good) each but the bill didn't look right.
The manager originally wrote down 55.90 each person. The drinks were 25 each. No mention of a 10% tax on the menu or any of the information or advertising. Instead of the 55 each he tried charging us 65.90 each. In total the bill was showing 199 and change. I shook my head and said no so he punched in some num'bers on the machine and produced another receipt, this time showing 59.90 each plus drinks and this 10% addition.
Getting a little annoyed that he is trying to overcharge us I said you have a big sign outside saying 55.90 and you wrote down the same at the beginning when we arrived. The 10% extra was never mentioned until we go to pay, if that's what it is so be it. On the third production of a receipt it now showed the 55.90 each. IF YOU VISIT HERE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE BILL BEFORE PAYING!!! DESPISE PEOPLE OVERCHARGING,...
Read moreDuring our day trip from Rio de Janeiro, we stopped at Cruzeiro do Sul Churrascaria, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of the day! The food was absolutely amazing—a true taste of authentic Brazilian churrasco. The variety and quality of meats served were top-notch, each cut grilled to perfection and full of flavor. The buffet also offered a great selection of fresh salads, sides, and traditional Brazilian dishes, all well-prepared and delicious. Every bite was a treat! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality really added to the experience and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. If you're traveling through the area or looking for a great meal near Rio, I highly recommend stopping by Cruzeiro do Sul Churrascaria. Great food, excellent service, and a memorable...
Read moreIf I could give it zero stars I would. They spilled blood all Over me, even after I told the guy to stop he kept on spilling blood all over my leg. On top of that, before my blood bath, the Food was TERRIBLE. I went there as part of a tour group, my expectations were not that high to begin with, I set a low bar, and YET they came in way under that. Salad bar was ok, thank God....cause the meat was like rubber, most of it over cooked, or undercooked...basically it was all just BAD. I have had Brazilian BBQ in many places. I am a big fan. This place however, is the worst food I have ever had at a Brazilian BBQ. Truthfully Almost the worst food I have had anywhere. Stay away. So many real places to go for Brazilian BBQ. This is not one of them. Scratch it off your...
