My friend and I came to Da Casa da Táta’s late one evening after a day at Leblon Beach and the cafe was an absolute dream. When we sat down, I almost instinctually knew who Táta was and she was a gracious, kind host with such a beautiful presence and spirit. The coffee and cake and full breakfast in the morning is prepared with a lot of love. Felt like Home.
Táta and her husband are very warm, hospitable and kind people I wish for anyone to meet during their time in Rio. I’m welling up with tears of joy just thinking of how she made us feel so welcome. Muito Obrigado ~ We will be back someday ✨❤️

Lovely place. The decor is beautiful, the place is cozy, it plays soft jazz for ambience... A dream cafe at the heart of zona sul Rio. It is hard to find those here. The prices are great for the area and the quality of the place!!! You will feel welcomed here. The waiters are nice, and the people running it are socially progressive.
