We LOVE Taypa!!! At least once a month we drive all the way from Abadíania to come and eat here. We appreciate not only the food but also the great level of service, the decor of the restaurant and even the music choice is great! These restaurant owners have a great taste on many levels :)! We love the way how each plate is dressed up, and even the plates and cutlery themselves are beautiful!! We like the consistency: we have come many times, and service and food is great every time! And we appreciate how much love is put in each plate, and how perfectly everything is cut for a great mouth experience!! :) As feedback I would ask the chef to work a bit more on the dessert section. We miss the walnut strudel! The pudding and the banana dessert are not very original. The coffee dessert has loads of great textures and flavors! The chocolate too, although the brownie could use some work: maybe at a walnut for a better texture? Last tip, but maybe that’s just me: I appreciate the dental floss in the bathroom, but the mouthwash has such a strong smell! I feel it’s almost ruining the wonderful taste I have in my mouth from all the yummy food! You guys should open a Taypa chain! Go to Goiânia!! :) you guys would do wonderful!!! Thank you for the great food and service!! Mirjam & Michael Kao PS My husband asks for Wagyu on the menu? Or maybe something with a...
Read moreI had the shrimp for an appetizer and it was the most delicious shrimp dish I have ever had. The texture of the crispy potatoes and mushroom was fabulous. The octopus entree was also very good. It was served with the most delicious herb truffle risotto. Just life-changing. The cocktail I ordered, la vida, was very strong. The peanut dessert was quite good with fresh, crispy pastry. The waiters were quick and responsive.
However, the waiters did not properly pour or recork the sparkling wine that I ordered. Nobody in Brasilia seems to know how to do it right so I don't hold it against them. The filet mignon in lomo saltado was well done, way too overcooked and hard to chew. The onions in the dish were undercooked and the taste was overpowering. The sauce was also quite bland. I had better lomo saltado at Lima and at El Paso. The restaurant was also very loud and I had to shout to speak so I wouldn't recommend it for a social meal. It also took 45 minutes to receive the appetizer and a further 30 minutes after that for the entrees and it wasn't very busy at that point. Overall, I would visit it again but next time I'll try one of the many...
Read moreI have nothing to complain about the food or service here. Waiters have always been super kind to us. We used to come here at least once a month for years. We left the state for two years, and gotten back excited to come enjoy the restaurant again. We saw that the entire restaurant had new furniture, and prices had almost doubled. The lomo used to be RS84 reais is now RS142! It's just too much of a pricehike! The restaurant was beautiful before, why spend all that money on redesigning things if you need to increase the prices?? I understand there is inflation, but this is just too much. We did not even want to order anymore and simply left. Its a shame! If you want customers back... lower the prices, find new suppliers and go for...
