Easily the Best Meal I had in Brunei!! Fun/cheap to get to by water taxi to the village over the water. Easy to find 1x left turn and you are there. A very clean restaurant, attentive staff. I had the Ambuyat, to try this region specific food. Ambuyat is really fun to eat, but not a special favour, you should try it before you leave Brunei. The rest of the meal was phenomenal! Perfectly fried fish with a smokee sweet thick soy dipping sauce. A wonderful meat dish. A shredded fish dish, that I couldn't get enough of; served with a yum pickle. I had a wonderful friendly chat with the owner after the meal, and as an amazing customer service his father even walked me back to the water taxi! I think they had phoned as a boat was already waiting there to take me home. How good is that! If you're in Bandar this place is a must do dining...

It's a family owned restaurant and run by the family members themselves. Please make your reservation prior to coming as you don't want to be disappointed as at times they are full. Monday and Saturday closed.

It's about 10 mins walk from Kunyit7lodge or 15 mins walk from the Kampong Ayer Cultural n Tourism Gallery if you are on a walkabout in the water village.

Visiting Brunei and stumbled upon this humble little place on Google. Took a boat ride to get to the shop during lunch (beware of opening hours!). The host was hospitable and had a chat with us.

We ordered ambuyat, ayam geprek set, ayam penyet set, sotong penyet set and satay ayam dan daging. The food was very much to our liking.

The place was air conditioned so it was a pleasant lunch experience. Staff was very helpful.
