Elvis Beach Bar — Restaurant in Sozopol

I was threatened with violence when I was last in this venue and it ruined our entire night and impression of Sozopol. I took it up with management and the admin simply blocked my account.

Anytime someone leaves a remotely negative review on the venue's socials, addressing the issue, keyboard warriors (probably staff) will swarm the comment to laugh at the review, instead of taking it seriously. There is an impending sense of impunity among the people who work there and it's a problem.

The paradox was that we were sitting on a table with the boss of the venue just the day before, because the people we were visiting are supposedly good friends with him. However we do not go to places nowadays, expecting to need to bring up social connections, just to feel safe in a public venue, where everyone should feel safe.

No person who travels internationally will EVER accept to feel unsafe in a place where they are going for a holiday and with today's travel insurance options most people who travel are very expensive to physically assault.

If the venue allows such behaviour, I recommend having a comprehensive insurance, in case an insurable event is triggered. Better yet, I recommend avoiding the place altogether. I recommend exploring Varna instead as I have never had any such experience there.

If still choosing to stick to Sozopol, there is a good alternative venue, where we felt much safer, it is called "Malkata Tequila". Even if the people who work in Elvis beach bar do not care about staff members threatening their customers and laughing at legitimate negative reviews, there is no reason why we should sponsor such business and perpetuate...

Well as a Bulgarian living abroad,who frequently visits the bar ,I dare to say that my enjoyment here is only surpassed by my ever lasting desire to party ! .. solo or with a group ,throughout my all summer trips spanning around 10 years back ,I managed to have good times ,despite the occasional slow or rude service,or physical threats from other customers; knowing my cultural well enough not to order the fake grey goose ,I quenched my vodka thirst with the Bulgarian production. Women ,needless to say, sizzling hot and for the most part engaging in conversations ;Music could suck ,but hey ,get another drink a just dance . I have great memories here and will return to welcome the sunrise and all those early morning beach runners ,who unwillingly take greeting videos with strangers for their sisters in...

My friend (female, 23) almost got assaulted by one of the bouncers in the bar. We were looking for our friend who had had a little bit too much to drink that night and suddenly had disappeared when one of the guards threatened to hit another one of my friends who went into the bar to ask if they'd seen her. He said he hadn't seen her and that we didn't have a right to bathe in the sea at night and that by doing so we were "scaring away their customers", we protested, after which he said he would slap my friend's face "so hard" if he wasn't on duty that night.
