BM Olea — Restaurant in Varna

Well, it was the firs and the last time. With the arrival you find yourself at a horrible parking space, very steep and covered with gravel, all the cars parked terribly, no marking or anything to ease the exparience. We were about to leave bit we decided to give it a chance. Worst idea ever. They've seated us in a kind of a basement, very low, hot and stinky. At this point it was the second time we were aboit to give up bit decided it's too late to find another place, so we've stayed. From there on, the things got only worse. Terrible service- slow and confusing, 30 min wait for the wine, plates arriving in complete wrong order. Appetizers and main dishes before salads- absolutely shocking, felt like we are in a fast food place at the train station. The food itself: burned bread, salad with eggpalnt with almost no eggplant, spicy kalamari- not spicy at all, salty meat and a salad with prosciutto and strawberries which came last, after being mistaken with another salad. It came last with literally 2 slices of prosciutto and a single sliced strawberry, I don't have a photo because I was already too frustrated and angry. Disaster. The explanation was that the waiter is new and horrible but I don't think he also cooked in the kitchen....

All and all the one star is for the small details missed by the staff and the management. Unfortunately the venue misses to meet the expectations of the dutifully reading the Google reviews visitor.

Indeed, the place is nice, cozy, with tasteful design. Service is great to a point where 2 staff members are not enough to service +60 customers and the delays and bad service follows.

As our table was in the garden - mosquitoes and wasps started visiting us and the staff was not ready to solve the issue, so eating your fancy dish trying not to get a bite of a wasp was the highlight of the evening while being the meal yourself for an ecadron of mosquitoes.

As service, thw uninvited gueats - the mosquitoes and our new friends the wasps were far from the romantic dinner we had on our minds we asked for the bill which we waited for 30 minutes.

Again nothing against the food - basic good food (nothing to come back to, although, but restaurant business, especially if you are labeled one of the best places in Varna, needs to take care also for the detail so it keeps up with the label of being one of the best.

Hope this review is taken as a friendly push to further improve the service so it does not disappoint the ignorant...

The food was great, especially the chia/quinoa cake as well as the homemade ice-cream. The athmosphere is also very pleasant, flowers everywhere! Perfect for the summer. Tip-go to the inner garden,it is nicer there and aired, normally calmer too. Most of the staff were very nice, however, our own waitress, (I can give the name if the restaurant management needs it) acted very strange, either was not in a good mood yesterday or is simply not right for this job. She was straight to the point, a bit rude even, giving us attitude as if we owe her something. We tried to joke politely to make her a bit more relaxed but that was not super successful either. Hence we left no tip in the end, even though the food was indeed very good. Also, thanks for having added allergens to the menu, that is always appreciated. Giving 5 stars (but if I could I...
