I am an American citizen living in Cambodia. I have a large Cambodian family. Ten of us have been traveling around eastern Cambodia for the last several days. We went to Blue River to celebrate my oldest daughter’s birthday. I was a little confused about the menu as it was exclusively in Khmer. Each dish costs $10. But each will feed two, Asian style. The food was excellent. Although we gave them no advance notice, they were able to serve us a beautiful birthday cake and free watermelon dessert. The waitress was lovely. Great atmosphere in restaurant literally right on the river. Fish seems the best thing on the menu but I had the shrimp and luk Lok. Don't ask for the prices because if you have to ask you can't afford it as it's the most expensive in town. The food was okay and an excellent selection of beer but no English on the menu makes it a little hard to order to right thing. Service was less to be desired even though it is popular and usually crowded at dinner time with big parties. Check it out but you can probably do better with the many street food...
