Boukarou Lounge — Restaurant in Yaoundé

The food was good but came after an unnecessary long wait. The service was abysmal. Took a while for us to be noticed. I had to call on one of the waiters before someone could come to our service. While ordering, I asked for something and he was supposed to get back to me with the response but he didn’t. I had to ask another random person (probably a waiter too, I couldn’t tell because they didn’t have any aprons or uniforms to make them recognizable) to ask his colleague about my request before the guy yelled the answer from the sitting area below us.

I can understand food taking long but drinks shouldn’t, especially when we can see you chatting with your colleague as opposed to coming to serve the client.

Also the space was not clean. I can hear the excuse of the place barely just opening that evening but if clients would walk in and choose to sit somewhere, if you’re being attentive you can go clean up especially the area where they’ll be seated at. You can’t dust around while people are eating. You’re putting our health at risk.

The vibe was good, the food was good but the service again was...

A lively spot with live performance and a party feel in the nights. You can watch the artists, dance with them...... organise a meet up friends or an afterwork..... as long as you're up for a party.

Customer service is average.

I have had their cocktails before and those were good, so I tried out another beverage this time, the tea. Loved it.

If you want some quiet time, visit between 8pm and 10pm because after that...

Hit and miss. The live music is great. It starts at around 10pm. The layout and design are cool. The grilled food is ok (chicken/ steak), the pizzas are not great. Not all food on the menu was available. Prices. A bottle of wine starts at 20K XAF. You need 30k( 50 euros) for a decent bottle. On busy days, ordering bottles is required for a better seat. My recommendation, visit mid week, and avoid...
