Duke's Pizza + Pub — Restaurant in Acheson

Upon arriving before 12 pm, we noticed two other customers already in the building. The staff barely acknowledged us as we entered and took our seats.

Thankfully, our waitress was the shorter blonde, who displayed a somewhat friendly demeanor when dealing with us. However, it became apparent that she provided significantly better service to another customer she clearly knew. We witnessed this preferential treatment firsthand, as three more customers arrived during our visit.

Unfortunately, we had to interact with the short, darker brunette, who exhibited serious issues that were evident to anyone paying attention. She seemed unhappy with her work and rushed through serving our food in a rude manner.

The mushroom burgers consisted of frozen patties, which had shrinkage issues and lacked flavor, as expected. However, the garlic flavor of the mushrooms enhanced the taste. We enjoyed the crunchy fries.

The lasagna was of average size, but we were disappointed with the value for the price, nearly $20. The marinara sauce had a sweet taste, which may not appeal to everyone.

The soup was great, although the portion of turkey was smaller than expected, which could be attributed to a serving issue rather than the soup itself.

Came in for lunch, typical road house look. There were 8 other tables being occupied with a couple of people, maybe 16 diners here.

A bar, a couple VLTs, Seated myself then it took about 10 minutes before I had the waitress shouted at me across the place for my drink order, 2-3 minutes later she brought me my drink and a menu.

Waited another 10 minutes to place my order, I ordered the Chef salad. The waitress took my order and I proceeded to wait again.. finished my drink and it sat empty for the full 20 minutes I waited for my salad. She then brought out the salad, and got me a refill of my drink. I asked for the bill as I had 5 minutes left in my hour lunch to eat.

The food I was able to eat was tasty, the food pricing was fair, however the service and timing of the kitchen was lacking. Food and service were great. Women's washroom is totally unsafe only 2 stalls and not only are both toilets not anchored properly but the floor is very soft which indicates rot. There handicap was marked out of order. The entire bathroom needs to be gutted and redone properly. According to other customers this has been like this for an extremely long period of time. Management should have been on top of this ages ago. This reflects very poorly on management as well as the owners, both not doing their jobs to the fullest and they simply lack any concern for their customers safety.
