Castle Mountain Coffee is exactly what you hope to find when you're craving a warm, comforting coffee experience. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and welcoming - the kind of place where you can settle in with a good book or catch up with friends without feeling rushed. Their coffee is consistently well-prepared and hot, and you really can't go wrong pairing it with one of their cookies. There's something deeply satisfying about that classic combination, especially when both elements are done right. The cookies have that homemade quality that makes them feel like a genuine treat rather than an afterthought. The staff seems to understand that sometimes people just want a simple, quality coffee experience without any fuss. It's become one of those reliable spots I find myself returning to when I want something dependable and warming. If you're looking for a straightforward coffee shop that delivers on the basics - good coffee, tasty cookies, and a comfortable environment - Castle Mountain Coffee fits the...

Says open at 9am. Climbed up the mountain. Up there by 10:30. Coffee is closed. Looking at the Google listing says open AS we are standing outside the doors. Left by 10:45. Didn’t look like they were opening any time soon…..

So go into the centre for a quick bathroom before we go back down. We had to take turns because dogs aren’t allowed in. As soon as the first two left, the staff ran down and locked the doors on us to keep us out. Not the coffee places fault, but Just a side note that the centre’s staff is...

The Dirty Chai is really good. Was sad the soup of the day wasn't available. We got there upon opening and a lot of the menu items weren't available for purchase, sadly. Nice break from the cold and wind outside. There are radiators and a couple of standing areas with views. No indoor seating for the cafe. Can get quite busy. I highly recommend grabbing food/drink and going up to the top floor to eat if you want to sit in the warm. Either near the firepits or the...

Food - 3/5 Service - 4/5 Ambiance - 4/5 Price - Expensive Ordered a small coffee, and a caramel macchiato. Coffee was not that great, but the macchiato was good. The sizes of the cups are much better than other coffee houses. Overall, it's worth a visit when you're at banff, you can try other drink/food options. They have a lot of options to try.
