We are local people that go into the el dorado quite regular. Over the last year the service and quality of food has taken a nose dive. We were in there last night January 2. This is there so called wing Wednesday and it is usually busy. We went in at 5:00 pm with a group of 14, there was 1 server looking after the bar and the restaurant. The service was slow at best but the server( Sophie) was doing a pretty good job considering the amount of people. After we all got our drink orders (30 minutes), Sophie gave us a piece of paper to pass around and write down our order. About half our later she came back and said they didn't have enough wings to fill our order. They were short 2 orders so a couple people had something else. Another 40 minutes passed and our orders started to arrive, well one look and we knew we had never seen such bad wings anywhere else before. The taste test confirmed they were dried out and cooked so much they were hard to eat. I think that will be our last trip in there. Our total bill without tip was...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars I would. We had a girl come and take our drink orders and brought them but never came back. After waiting 25 minutes I wasn’t able to find the girl so I had to go to the lounge to order our food. Lasagna and Spaghetti with meatballs, not to hard to do. The Lasagna was bland, which okay that’s fine, then I reached the ricotta ✋🏻 What was under the noodles was not ricotta I don’t even think it was cheese. It was nasty and instantly I started feeling ill, which is perfect when you still have a 2 and a half hour drive home. The spaghetti, the noodles weren’t cooked all the way through and the meatballs were still cold in the middle. No flavour no nothing. It’s was like the food was precooked and they just freeze it until someone orders it then pops it in the microwave...
Read moreFor a gas station diner/truck stop, this place IS IT!! I stayed at the hotel next door for a week, and happily ate dinner here every night. The beef of the beef dip tastes like it actually came from a cow! One that eagerly waltzed through a whole host of seasonings and flavors. The fries are double crisp and fluffy on the inside. The Caesar salad was far from bland, and the soups there are hearty! The chicken Alfredo was creamy and delicious, and the steak sandwich was on point. From the second night onward, I was greeted with an offer of my usual beverage. Can't say enough how important that is!!
If you're going through Grassland, take a stop at Eldorado's before you head out of town. Absolutely...
