Gondola's Steak & Pizza — Restaurant in Alberta

From out of town ordered pizza, the crust was like a stale cookie with pizza sauce on top. I am a pizza addict and connoisseur. Out of hundreds of places I have tried this was tied for the worst, the other place in invermere that used store bought flatbread as a crust was the tie. The sauce wasn’t the greatest either. They got my order wrong I ordered a large pizza Greek and a small mushroom cheddar, well they gave me opposite…. And they charged nearly 50$ for them. They said end of night sorry bout that but good pizza…. If the pizza was good I wouldn’t have left a review especially negative one. When chewing the crust the noise my teeth make sound like splitting wood sound. Also took me a while to find a menu online, I checked in maps there was nothing, the Facebook I could see anything recent then I checked google and was able to find think it’s a yr or two old….. if your from out of town in Lamont county or smoky lake county and are used to good pizza, you may want to try something else as this pizza was a total letdown. A couple yrs ago I tried their pizza and now i remember why I never went back. The photos on line look way better then what I received. Gondola's in Lamont & Lily's in Bruderheim are owned by the same family with very similar menus. Both family friendly, licensed restaurants have great food & friendly staff with an overall pleasant environment. The menu options are pretty typical of "Steak & Pizza" places including burgers, pastas, hot sandwiches, seafood, etc. Gondola's is not fully accessible for those with mobility issues. There are 2 steps into the front doors (so I have to walk with 2 canes instead of using my wheels) and the washroom is not wheelchair accessible at all. Great food Fast service! I was in a party of 12 and the one waitress handled it very well. My meal was bbq ribs with a mixed tossed salad and baked potato. The ribs and sauce were tasty and the meat easily fell off the bone. The portion was huge. A dinosaur portion! The baked potato was done well and came with the usual additions. The tossed salad was fresh and the two peices of garlic toast were tasty as well. I had so much to eat I had to stop.
