Jingls — Restaurant in Alberta

The seating outside was amazing, BUT... the older brunette working the counter was absolutely unnecessarily rude. Wow! It starts with me asking a simple question about what kind of sausage they serve on their sandwiches (round patties or normal breakfast sausages), I got an eye roll and a look of irritation with her response. After placing my order, I said "that was all" because our group of 4 intended to pay for ourselves separately. She deliberately ignored me continued to ask for everyone's order, so we thought it was just to get it to the cook on one sheet. However, she went to go start ringing everything in together and when I said "we were trying to order separately because we were each paying for our own", she just dropped her hands to the counter and asked "so then who had what again?!".... So of course, to avoid her prolonged attitude and just get it over with, we paid for it on one bill. I am so shocked that she thinks it is okay to act this way in the industry she's in. If I ever come back out to Wabamun and intend to eat out, I will walk back out the front door if this same staff is working. She should be ashamed of herself for being so uninviting, short tempered, rude toned and general unwelcoming body language. The owner should have a talk with the staff. I get they may have been here for far too long and maybe aren't excited to go to work everyday, though that is no reason to ruin someone else's day...

I walked 5 minutes from my hotel and found this little jem of a place right around the corner. As soon as I opened the door I knew this was going to be a good experiance, the place just had a warming feeling and it sets you back to an old 60's diner you would see in the movies. A true mom and pop resteraunt and they are the nices people you could ever want to meet, the best part the food and service was above excellent. I'ts not offten you go into a restaurant grap your phone and star taking picture but I couldn't help my self and started texting them to all my freinds back home after I finished my meel I couldn't help but walk tho the back and prowes through thyere little Museum and store of all kinds of old colectables and hand crafted good. i was only in Wabamin for 3 nights and i had to eat there every night and still found something new everytime. We absolutely love this little family-owned restaurant! During our evacuation from Jasper, we stumbled upon this gem, and it quickly became our favorite place to eat. The owners are so kind and welcoming, they always made us feel right at home. What really stands out is how they paid close attention to our order each time we visited, ensuring everything was just the way we like it. The food was consistently delicious—comforting, fresh, and made with care.

One of the highlights was their cozy, pet-friendly patio, which was perfect for enjoying a meal with our dogs. It’s a peaceful little spot, ideal for relaxing while you eat.
