Wonderful place to eat ,a bit pricey when they add 1.50 for baked potato or 1.50 for gravy to your bill ,sorry no tips than , waitress get nothing and the bar gets it all ,what a scam they are running ,and the owners don't seem to give a dam ,when you tell them about it ,they say ( that's just business ) NO , that just greed, and lots of hog wash. I don't eat there much anymore because of that reason .Also some of the longer employed waitress have a bad habit of ignoring you when you come in and are waiting to be served .They see you come in , sit down and you make eye contact, but they will walk right past you ,to go and clean off a empty table, , ,or two, , , three , , ,. Then go put them in dishwasher, then talk to their workmates ,or customers that are drinking at the bar , serve them more beer ,talk to them and joke with them, all while you sitting and haven't been waited on and yet then haven't agnolaged seeing you sitting there at a clean table , yet, men that sit at 4.00 happy hour table ,can come into the place after I have entered the place, and the waitress has their beer or coffee in front of them ,or close to it, before they sit down, I call that table, ( the Knight's of the Round Table ) they are there every day at happy hour. Rule # 1 is gossiping about other unfortunately peaple in there community. Well they are like a bunch of old Crows ,meeting at supper time ,to show off their shiny feathers and to make more BS . Leanne's is a great meeting place for that kind of behavior,so much on the pride of the Millet Establishment . A fine place to eat, drink , and learn about yourself ,by what Others think of you,...
Read moreSo my wife & I decided to take a drive out to millet last weekend for a visit at The Old Bank Cafe not realizing it closed at 3. Disappointed we decided to grab a bite at this cute little dive bar down the street. Not an insult. Some of my fondest memories were from a little bar like this in my youth. There’s a nice patio but being a bit hot out we decided to eat indoors. A/c was on and again a sense of nostalgia hit me as we walked in the door. We seated ourselves and had a look at the menu which was larger then we expected. Really good selection. She decided on the Fish & Chips. Wow! Large piece of fish in a insanely crispy batter on a bed of extra crispy fries. The tartar was perfect and the fish literally cracked as she broke into it. Very crisp, and very moist. I haven’t had better in the city and the price was very agreeable. I ordered the Hot Beef sandwich. There was a choice of turkey as well. Let me say that again I was amazed to be getting this type of quality from a pub. A generous portion of tender roast beef smothered in homemade gravy on a slice of garlic toast. Very cozy comfort dish. For a couple bucks extra I opted for a side Caesar salad. Again! I was delighted to see real bacon bits. Homemade croutons. Slices of real Parmesan cheese on top with a lemon wedge. It was perfection in a bowl. The flavor was spot on and better then anything I’ve had in high end restaurants in the city. Two thumbs up 👍 👍 keep doing what you do cause you really surprised this ole city boy. We’ll be back. Can’t wait to try the rest of your menu. Can’t wait to tell my friends about this little secret spot....
Read moreWe go here a lot in summer as we ride motorcycles and it is a popular destination for riders. Food is always great, and I am impressed the prices are not stupid like they have become at many restaurants in the last year. They have gluten-free options too.
While the food is always good, the service was lacking this past weekend. Lack of attention from both waitresses pretty much and checking to see if we needed anything else was lacking sorely. It was not busy, probably 5-6 tables total in fact it was probably the slowest I've ever seen it there for a warm weekend afternoon.
We love the food and food choices here, we will continue to patronize this establishment but not for long if service goes...
