Stop in for a early dinner what a joke! Arrived at 4:15pm ordered a dinner for one and husband ordered egg fooyoung, and curry beef he also had a bowl of soup....he got the soup 1 hour later the egg fooyoung 2 hours later dinner for one finally about 15 minutes later so 2hours15minutes We never did get the curry beef she asked my husband if he still wanted it about half hour later at this point we had been there for almost 3 hours she said they hadn't started it yet. What a gem of a find! Just moved to a rural location and good eating places are few and far between. Drove past this establishment on the way to the farmers market and decided to give it a go. Look past the tired decor. The food is great. When the server (wife of chef) recommends one dish of rice is enough for two; listen! The portions are huge. Freshly cooked and full of flavour I had chicken in black bean sauce and hubs had lemon chicken. He has a big appetite (desperate Dan would be jealous) so we ordered two plates of rice. It's the WAR WANTON that got me to have supper here. It's not salty like the other Chinese restaurants. Service was alright. The only thing was we had to wait for a long time for the hotpot to be served, and the steamed rice was cold. One customer was asking before they left the restaurant if they gave out New Year's Calendars the response they got was "Too expensive. We don't hand those out.
