Oriental Kitchen — Restaurant in Alberta

I took the family to Cremona for Pizza tonight as I have been wanting to try Papa Luigi's for a while, but they we closed. So we went to the Oriental Kitchen instead and boy am I glad we did.

This is a family restaurant, nothing fancy, nothing that will draw city folk in, but that is there loss. The food was fabulous. The service was friendly and great. This is a place we need in Airdrie!

The food is not your normal "white" Chinese, not nearly as sweet and no MSG. They don't even use meat tenderizer. This is the place to go.

And the owner has a great story, this is the type of business I want to support. Mr. Joseph Shi, thanks to you and your family for your faith and persistence. Thank you for providing us with a great meal, we all enjoyed it greatly.

Been here a few times over the years on the way home from camping.

A nice place to stop in for a bite to eat with clean private washrooms with hot water as well as internet access.

The food is delicious with standard menu items for the genera, but I’ve been struck by how kindly and engaging the owner has been over the years.

On my last visit I was really impressed that he was not okay with serving me a second beer with my meal as I was driving. He was apologetic but firm that the extra money for him is not worth the potential for disaster. I can safely assume this doesn’t go over well with some customers.

Well I have to say that I am very Disappointed in the food and service!!!! I always give restaurants 3 strikes.This is the 3 strike for this restaurant. The food was greasy and tasteless, spices were thrown in so you had a hot mouth and still no flavor. It didn't matter what I ordered , ginger beef to deep fried shrimp, it all tasted bland, greasy oily textured goop. So I hope this restaurant gets better chefs other wise you will be very...
