Papa Luigis ristorante and pizzeria — Restaurant in Alberta

First time visitor to this gem of a restaurant, the atmosphere was cute & cozy, and i loved that the chef came over to greet us and have a chat before ordering. We got the bruschetta which was a 100/10, the tomatoes were fresh, not grainy, the bread was crunchy but not so much so that it cuts the roof of your mouth. Then we got the Carbonara & Fettuccine Al Carmen which were both 10/10, the pasta was cooked perfrctly, sauce was silky smooth and the SHRIMP on the Fettuccine Al Carmen was to die for, I could've eaten an entire bowl of it- cooked to perfection & seasoned well. This is a favourite spot of mine to stop and relax while out on my motorcycle. I brought a friend with me on his bike today to introduce him to this little hidden gem in the foothills. It was my first stop here since last riding season. Papa Luigi greeted me wamly and sat and chatted while we caught up on our winter activities. A family run Italian-style eatery with delicious food that is a perfect place to dig into some well prepared comfort food in a casual setting. Solid offerings with pasta, pizzas, and salads. Pizza dough is lovingly prepared with amazing flavour with a soft interior and a crunchy outside and bottom. We had pizza and also would recommend the caesar salad!
